GSW Frequently Asked Questions

Achievement Whores from AOTS / G4tv.com

It's an expose on the women who walk the streets looking to unlock achievements for the right price.

  • What is GamerScoreWhore.com?
GSW is a site dedicated to assisting Completionists and Gamerscore Whores in unlocking those elusive multiplayer achievements. The site was inspired by the unavoidably unorganised nature of the "Achivement Trading Threads" within each game forum at x360a.org
  • How do I get started?
Step 1, sign up and authenticate your Gamertag.
Step 2, add the achievements you're chasing to your profile.
Step 3, create or join a session or browse a list of other gamers chasing the same achievements.
  • Why Pimps and Whores?
It's unknown who originally coined the phrase "Gamerscore Whore" but it refers to a gamer who is obsessed with increasing their Gamerscore. Some time later came the Achievement Whores, now more commonly referred to as a Completionists, they aren't so bothered about their total Gamerscore but more focused on unlocking 100% of the available achievements in any games on their profile. When you setup a session on GSW you become the Pimp and the gamers who sign up to attend are the Whores.
  • How do I create a session?
In your profile or the achievements list find the achievement you're after and click the [create session] link. An example of a session appears below, feauturing the host / organiser (aka the Pimp) and the gamers who are attending (aka the Whores).
  • Why can't I connect to other gamer's sessions?
If you're working on achievement in "ranked" game types it's often down to luck whether you end up in the same game. With the NXE party system it's easier to get a group of gamers together online when trying to work on an achievement. Try "preferring" the other gamers in your party / session. You might also want to read our FAQ page on Network Settings / NAT.
  • Why do you only feature multiplayer achievements?
GSW fully supports Microsoft's position on Game Save Glitching and Account Sharing. It's not possible to trade offline / single player achievements so there's no point in us including them in our database. Plenty of guides and advice are available on the Xbox.com official forums and sites like GameFAQs and xbox360achievement.org
